This is our team of professionals who keep us informed, on track and work tirelessly each and every week of the year.
We share Rev. John with Wiarton St. John's UC as per our Collaborative Agreement and are fortunate to have him for three Sunday's a month, although he is available to us at any time, should the need arise. If you would like a visit from John please contact him either by email: revjgs@gmail.com or by phone at 519-270-5373. John is also in the Church Office on Tuesday - again please contact him if you want to meet with him.
Darlene is in the Church Office most Wednesday's from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Rev John Smith has been an ordained minister in the United Church for just over 40 years, and brings a wealth of experience, and lots of stories, with him to serve us here at our church.
Originally from St. Thomas, ON, he has worked and lived most of his career in Toronto, but moved to the Bruce in 2015 to take a church here. He retired officially a few years ago due to a health concern, but works now as needed in supply positions. His favourite things to do (in the church part of his life) are preaching, visiting, and spending time hearing the stories and songs of other people's lives. When not doing church work, he loves to travel, garden, and spend time with his 3 grandkids. Sometimes he finishes projects that he undertakes with good intentions!
He has a heart for justice, and believes strongly that our reason for being a church is to show the love, compassion, and faith of Jesus to others. With a little humour, and lots of grace, he feels we can conquer almost anything.
Darlene has been a vibrant part of Shallow Lake UC for countless years! Her incredible knowledge of our church’s history keeps us all connected and informed through our weekly bulletins and exciting activities.
As we navigate the many changes within Shallow Lake UC and the broader United Church community, Darlene has been a steadfast presence, adapting and thriving alongside us with the various ministerial transitions.
Her dedication to maintaining our historical records and ensuring everything is perfectly filed with United Church of Canada is truly commendable!
Baunita, the Chair of our Board of Directors has also been with us for a number of years, first as a volunteer in the church, then a Board Member and now is the Chair.

We welcome her outgoing personality and her generous ambition to ensure that we in the congregation and also the community keep involved. Her contribution to the Church, the UCW, the Youth Group, the Choir and numerous other groups is refreshing and reassuring to all of us that under Baunita's leadership we are in good hands.
Judy has been with Shallow Lake UC for a number of years as a member and as our Treasurer. She keeps track of all of our contributions and tax receipts, plus all of the everyday responsibilities of being a truly good treasuerer.
